In addition, we can carry out remote monitoring of vital signs and alerts using appropriate technology.

Are remote monitoring and telecare the same service?

Accepted Answer

No. Remote monitoring of vital signs means that vital signs such as blood pressure or weight, for example, can be followed at a distance. These vital signs are received electronically and reviewed by a Satélite Familiar healthcare professional, who assesses the client's possible needs.

Telecare, on the other hand, is a telephone support service available 24 hours a day. Calls are answered by a healthcare professional and allow the client to clarify doubts about their health or about the subscribed service.

What is the Patient Portal?

The Patient Portal is a space where the client can access all clinical information recorded by Satélite Familiar's professionals — from the latest vital sign measurements, to current medication, medical issues, allergies and exam reports provided by the client.

The client may grant access to their caregivers and attending physicians, with full information security rules in place.

How can I purchase a Satélite Familiar service?

To subscribe to our service, the client should contact us by phone or email and let us know the type of care required. If necessary, an in-person assessment of the client's needs will be carried out and the service begins once the relevant documentation has been completed.
