Use of Personal Data

SATÉLITE FAMILIAR respects your privacy. This document describes the company's Privacy Policy regarding the use of personal data, namely the purpose of using client data, as well as the ways to contact us for any clarification and to exercise your rights in this matter.

Personal Data Controller

SATÉLITE FAMILIAR is responsible for the processing of your personal data, by automated or non-automated means, from collection, organisation and retention through to deletion.

SATÉLITE FAMILIAR is aware of and complies with the rules for the processing of personal data, currently set out in Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016.

Purpose

As an entity in the healthcare sector, we process sensitive and confidential information. We use certified information systems that respect the security and privacy rules for this type of data. The clinical and administrative data in our systems is the property of the client. SATÉLITE FAMILIAR only stores this data securely and in an organised manner for the following purposes:

  1. Provision of clinical services in accordance with the services available at the company and contracted by the client
  2. Making information available to other healthcare professionals outside SATÉLITE FAMILIAR, for the provision of healthcare and whenever expressly authorised by the client
  3. Alerts to clients in the scope of disease prevention
  4. Communication with clients about new services (administrative data only)

Client data will not be transmitted to others, nor used for purposes other than those for which authorisation was given.

The collection of personal and clinical data is always carried out by an authorised and qualified professional from SATÉLITE FAMILIAR. We do not use any source of information collection other than the client themselves.

By providing their contact details, SATÉLITE FAMILIAR may contact the client directly for marketing purposes related to its products and services, provided that the client has expressly consented.

The client may, at any time, refuse the sending of information by SATÉLITE FAMILIAR by following the process defined in this document.

Data Retention Period

Our policy is to retain data only for the period necessary to observe the purposes for which it was collected. However, in certain cases we may retain data for longer periods, namely when the law so establishes.

Right of Access, Rectification, Erasure, Restriction of Processing, Objection to Processing and Data Portability

The client has the right, whenever they wish and free of charge, to:

  1. Request access to the information we hold about them
  2. Request rectification of the information if it is inaccurate or incomplete
  3. Request deletion of their data from all SATÉLITE FAMILIAR systems
  4. Request restriction of the processing of their data
  5. Object to the processing of their data
  6. Request portability of their data to an entity of their choice

Note, however, that if there is a legally imposed rule or obligation that overrides these rights, SATÉLITE FAMILIAR will respond with the impossibility of executing the request, indicating the respective basis.

Security and Confidentiality

We are committed to keeping client data secure, employing appropriate security measures to ensure the protection of personal data and prevent access by unauthorised persons. We subject our systems and security policies to periodic analysis to ensure that data is safe and protected. However, transmission via the internet is not completely secure, and we cannot absolutely guarantee the security of data transmitted through our portal.

We also respect the confidentiality of your information. As such, we do not sell, distribute or otherwise commercially make your information available to any third party.

SATÉLITE FAMILIAR has an internal policy on access to client data by its employees and an auditing process to identify any unauthorised access.

SATÉLITE FAMILIAR undertakes to keep your information confidential in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable legislation.

If you consider that your data is not being processed in accordance with applicable legislation, namely European and national, we remind you that you have the right to file a complaint with a supervisory authority (e.g. National Data Protection Commission) at www.cnpd.pt.
